WHO ARE WE?
The Samba National League - SNL was created to support samba initiatives in the United States by promoting knowledge sharing, and to create networking between groups in the U.S. and acclaimed samba schools in Brazil.
* SNL is a program from Samba USA, a Nonprofit Organization 501(c)(3) that aims to promote the Brazilian music, dance, and culture.

Kleber Komka
Top performing professional with over 35 years of experience in the Brazilian Carnival, Kleber Komká graduated in Carnival Management from Universidade Estácio de Sá, is the founder of acclaimed group Batuque Digital and has more than 120 participations in the world-famous Carnival parade from Rio de Janeiro.
Brian L. Davis
Founder/director of the “Lions of Batucada”’(1995), founder/director of the “Ainsworth Jr Escola (127 member youth bateria, 1998 - present), is an instructor at California Brazil Camp ( 1997-present), an original member of internationally touring group “Pink Martini” (1996-present), and has conducted workshops for Universities and groups across the U.S., in China, Australia, New Zealand, and Taiwan.
A Samba enthusiast for over thirty years, Brian has traveled extensively in Brasil for music, study, and adventure.
Bruno Moraes
Rhythmist of Mocidade Independente de Padre Miguel, Bruno is the creator and founder of Troféu Bateria, a bateria commentator at SRZD, and has been parading in Sapucaí for 30 years, with more than 100 parades in 23 different samba schools. Since 2002, he has taught workshops for numerous groups in the United States.
Renato Lage
Founder and director of Samba Houston, Renato plays cavaquinho and pandeiro, and had the honor to play the saxophone with B.B.King during his World Tour. A Brazilian culture enthusiast, he was also responsible for bringing the “Samba de Gafieira” and the first “Roda de Samba”
to Houston back in 2010, when he was an MBA student at University of Houston Victoria.
Leo Queiroz
Renowned photographer, video maker, and producer, Leo is the official photographer of the Independent League of Samba Schools from Rio de Janeiro (LIESA), and for over 18 years has covered the famous Carnival Parade at Sapucaí. Since 2009, Leo has been the director of the official Rio de Janeiro’s Samba Schools CD and DVD. Throughout his career, he has been responsible for producing many DVDs, including: Jorge Aragao, Neguinho da Beija-Flor, and Fundo de Quintal. The latter received the Latin Grammy Award for Best Samba/Pagode Album.
